I know from experience God works through His creation, whether that is nature, people, or animal.  These faces, especially during the last few months we were living in Kenya, were a life line for me to hang on.  They allowed me to love on them unconditionally and asked nothing in return, except for more love.

Thinking about them (Bear on the left and Pixie) in Kenya without us makes my heart break.  We do have someone feeding them but honestly I know, and I’m sure they know, it’s not the same as us being with them.  I’ve been told Pixie has withdrawn and is not receiving the love she needs or deserves and that makes me sad.  I want her back with me (along with Bear) to be her happy, stubborn self again.

What brought this on you might ask. Well, I do think of them often but this picture appeared on my Facebook timeline as a memory from a year ago….

You see, how can you resist such a cute face!?

We’ll be attempting to get both Bear and Pixie back to the states and you may see me promoting a fundraiser for that purpose in the near future.  They helped me through an extremely difficult time and I’m excited to see them again in September this year, but I also look forward to having them as part of my family here in the states.
