You know, I don’t make up any stories that I post here and I don’t post stories here simply because they may tug at your heart. I post stories here because they are true…plain and simple. Now that I got that out of the way….!
Saturdays are a bit slower around C4KK. The younger kids don’t attend school and the older kids come home from school around lunch time making for more free time on their hands. With the younger kids they tend to draw pictures during the morning. I know this because I get little knocks on my office door with yet another picture drawn by a child to send to their sponsor. They (somewhat) get the idea that almost as soon as they give me the picture I scan it and send it off to the sponsor…so I get quite a few pictures!
Yesterday had one exception, Edward.
Edward watched as Bonface, Dan and Emma drew pictures, came to my office and dropped them off. Usually I look at the picture to make sure the child has put their name on it along with their sponsors name….sorry but these kids remember your names a lot better than me! Pretty soon Edward too brought me a picture he had drawn. My first reaction was to ask him to put his name and sponsors name on the picture but I immediately remembered he doesn’t have a sponsor. So I simply took the picture and decided to post it here for everyone to see 🙂
