We have been having issues lately with water.   It’s been extremely dry so the water table is down and the well which supplies the children’s home needs to be dug deeper.  The well diggers have been here for the past four days to deepen the well, one guy climbs down the already 8 story well to dig while the second guy is up top hauling the diggings up in a bucket.

Thought things were going ok but as usual, things are never simple in Kenya.  Instead of digging down the digger decided to widen the well.  Unfortunately where he widened it made the water problem worse.

It’s Sunday morning we are out of water, electricity was out for a couple of hours and I hope the kids got their showers in before we ran out of water this morning.

Monday we’ll try another well digger and see if he can do the job.
