C4KK Children’s Shelter is raising the roof by God’s grace!  I’d like to thank all of you who have helped get the shelter this far with your donations.  We are still seeking your help with finishing the project (metal sheets for the roof, painting, flooring, ceiling and I’m sure there’s more but I’m not in construction…needless to say there’s still a lot to be accomplished!)

Here’s the progress as of Saturday:

The shamba is coming along too.  The boys (on break from school this month) have helped expand it and Roman seems to have a “green thumb” for getting plants to grow!  We are getting fruit trees today, Monday (I believe) along with some potatoes (sweet and regular) which will go along with the skuma, spinach, tomatoes and banana already growing 🙂

I can totally see Psalm 85:11-12 (NIV) in action:

Faithfulness springs forth from the earth,
and righteousness looks down from heaven.
The LORD will indeed give what is good,
and our land will yield its harvest.

and Proverbs 20:40 (The Message):

A farmer too lazy to plant in the spring
has nothing to harvest in the fall.

Having people involved (Roman and Bosco specifically) who care not only about the children but the overall condition of the Shelter is a blessing and I pray their relationship with the Almighty is growing deeper and deeper.
