I’ve always been a believer that physical rest is good, but mental rest is even better.  Living among the need here seems to take a toll on my mental well-being.  When do I say no, when should I say yes?  Seems every day we are asked for something…little or much doesn’t matter, we are asked.

God has certainly given us a focus with C4KK and the children there, but when someone asks for 200/ksh (approx. $2.50) I struggle with that.  You might think it’s a no-brainer and say “it’s only $2.50”.  However, if I say yes to this request I can almost guarantee you the asking won’t stop.  Which in itself is ok, I can always say no.  But is that how I am best using the limited resources God has given us?  That 200/ksh is one day’s bread  for breakfast at C4KK.

I wish it were easier to say no, I wish I didn’t have to say no, I wish there was no need and everyone was taken care of but when I do say no I tend to rethink, challenge myself, my heart and the motivation behind it.  I’m praying God will make the yes’es and no’s clear for me.
