First, don’t you just love this face!? This is Daniel, he’s the youngest child at Mercy Child Foundation and his mother, Anastacia, is the house mom. I called her last week to see how everyone was doing, how food and firewood was holding out and to make sure everyone was still healthy. Her report was fantastic! The kids were all healthy and were ranking at the top of their classes in school! Food supply was good and firewood was being purchased. Thank you to all our donors who help make this possible.
Second, everytime I call Mercy Child I hear the kids in the background yelling “hi mum”, “how’s dad?” etc. but this time they were yelling “mum when are you coming to see us?” That one broke my heart. I miss them and am waiting in anticipation of our being together once again in May 2010, God willing.
I know May will be here before we know it but I thank God for giving us this time to prepare for our permanent move. There are so many things on the list: raising awareness & funding, shipping concerns, connecting with others, learning His word, stream-lining computer input, easier video uploading and more than I can list here. Of course God is always in control so these items don’t get us overly anxious.
