Christopher Muthuri (MC119)
Christopher was born in 1983 in Meru, Kenya (many of the children do not know when their actual birthdate is, they only know the year)
When his father died his mother remarried and moved to a different area with her new husband. At that time she gave permission for the church to take him to Mercy Child Foundation. (we encountered this in several families, once the mom remarries, her new husband doesn’t want or can’t afford to take care of her children so they are sent somewhere – either to another family, an orphanage or out on their own where they usually end up on the streets)
He has two brothers living elsewhere and no sisters.
Christopher’s favorite color is white.
His favorite class is math because he says he understands a lot of math. He would like to be a pilot when he grows up.
Christopher says he doesn’t understand Social Studies so that is his least favorite class.
He is very willing to help around the orphanage by getting water, firewood, helping to cook or sweeping the dorm area.
After his chores he likes playing football (American soccer).
