As we close out 2009 I thought I’d reminisce with some of the events (and links to read more about them) from past blog posts:
January – Touring
February – Birthday fundraiser (thanks Jim!) and Valentine mangoes.
March – Another awareness tour, opportunity to speak at Delta College and glimpses of life in Kenya.
April – Easter, drought and more glimpses into Kenyan life at Nice View Academy.
May – Pickpockets, education, doctors and God’s perfect timing.
June – Skid Row and The Change Campaign.
July– New friends, God-incidences and street ministry in New York.
August – VBS, anniversary and a wedding at the Academy.
September – Friday’s Child, faith and a sheep and lots of videos.
October – Crazy dark, butcher and news from Kenya
November– Bagel ministry, request for DVD’s and sanitized appearance.
December – Another tour to begin, death of a student and God’s faithfulness.
Whew! Once I look back at these I’m reminded how very much God loves us and is faithful to what He calls each of us to. He always provided (through your faithfulness and willingness to support this ministry) and I learned much this year from Him. We thought we’d be in Kenya at the beginning of the year, but when that didn’t happen God opened opportunities for us we would have missed if we would have gone ahead with our plans and taught us many valuable lessons. It was a year of patience, giving up control, focusing on His plan, learning daily how He wants us to move forward and not being overly worried about funding, which leads me to a portion of Chuck’s recent newsletter about year end giving:

Thanks to our secure website processing, you can make a donation up to 9:00 pm Arizona time (8:00 pm West Coast and 11:00 pm East Coast) on December 31 and still be eligible to deduct the amount on your 2009 income tax return. It is very simple to go to our website (www.SavedByGodsGrace.org) and click on “Donate Now” to make a one-time donation or you can go to www.TheChangeCampaign.org to make a monthly contribution in the amount of $12, $24, $36 or $48 per month. The system accepts Visa and Master Card credit and debit cards. You will receive an automatic receipt in your email. If you choose to write a check, you must have it postmarked by December 31 to have it eligible to count towards a 2009 donation. You should make your check payable to “Saved By God’s Grace” and send it to “4410 W. Union Hills Drive, Suite 7, Glendale, AZ 85308”.
