I’m not sure where this came from but thought it was neat:

Funny how $10 looks so big when we take it to church and so small when we take it to the store.

Funny how big an hour serving God looks and how small 60 minutes are when spent playing golf, fishing or watching tv.

Funny how laborious it is to read a chapter in the Bible and how easy it is to read 2-300 pages of a best selling novel.

Funny how we believe what the newspapers say but question what the Bible says.

Funny how we can’t think of anything to say when we pray and don’t have any difficulty thinking of things to talk about to a friend.

Funny how we need 2 or 3 weeks to fit a church event into our schedule, but can adjust it for a social event at the last minute.

Funny, isn’t it!?

I want you woven into a tapestry of love, in touch with everything there is to know of God. Then you will have minds confident and at rest, focused on Christ, God’s great mystery. All the richest treasures of wisdom and knowledge are embedded in that mystery and nowhere else. And we’ve been shown the mystery! I’m telling you this because I don’t want anyone leading you off on some wild-goose chase, after other so-called mysteries, or “the Secret.”  Colossians 2:2-4 The Message

God wants us to know Him on a personal level, not just an hour on Sunday.   If  we meditate on what He has sacrificed for us we should be asking “what more can I do for Your Kingdom?”
