Tuesday is moving day but today we are finishing up last minute details…banking, finalizing suitcases, shutting down computers (well, maybe this one will wait until Tuesday) and spending time with the family.

All our kids took off work Monday and Tuesday (thanks kids!) and will be helping us with those last minute items.  I feel Starbucks in the very near future because after Tuesday no more for me, but I am going to find out about roasting my own coffee beans (without an oven mind you!)  I’ll let you all know how that project goes, or if you have any ideas please let me know!

We said good-bye to friends Sunday at church (sorry DB for being a cry baby on stage) and Sunday night (thanks Robert and Rachael for the delicious burger and Dr. Chris & Diane for the chiropractic adjustments…last beef for awhile & adjustments!).  There are going to be a lot of “lasts, for now” but I’m also looking forward to the “up-and-comings”…walk onto Nice View Academy’s compound and seeing all the kids’ faces light up, talking about plans God has for Nice View and Tala, being the hands and feet of Jesus to the people in Tala, showing (by God’s grace) His love to everyone we meet.

Sure parting is sad and I’m anticipating a lot of tears Tuesday at the airport, but as long as I keep my focus on God and what He has called Chuck and I to His grace will ALWAYS be sufficient!

Those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs.  But I, with a song of thanksgiving, will sacrifice to you…Salvation comes from the LORD.”  Jonah 2:8-9

…the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.  2 Corinthians 4:15-16

I pray these verses for each of us not to “cling to worthless idols” but instead accept the grace God has offered us “with a song of thanksgiving” and forever proclaim, no matter the sacrifice “Salvation comes from the Lord” and in so doing not to “lose heart” but be “renewed day by day”!
