God is always right on time, it’s amazing that He can schedule the sunrise, the tide to change and cares for my little life and its scheduling. I thought Tuesday was going to be just another day of getting the house settled (very soon my friends, very soon!) but in addition to that God also gave me an opportunity to help someone in need, Annastacia, house mum at Mercy Child Foundation. (look after orphans and widows in their distress…James 1:27)
She called me on Monday to say she was at the doctors in Tala being tested for malaria and typhoid. I think at that time she just wanted us to know that she wasn’t feeling well and would we pray for her…which we did (I cried to my God for help. Psalm 18:6). Then on Tuesday she called again and said she was in Tala (she lives approximately 12 miles away in Koma and has to take public transport into Tala) to get her test results (found out she has malaria) and any medication she may need. This time however she said she had no money to get back home or money to purchase the medication she needed. It just so happened (God’s scheduling) that I was going into Tala for a few items – which means I had organized for a ride into Tala the day before but had no idea of what time – so I could meet her at the doctor’s to pay for the medication. We met her, paid for her medicine, gave her money to get back home and also gave her enough to purchase some fruits for herself and the kids at Mercy. Please pray she has a quick recovery. (you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. Malachi 4:2)
Later I began thinking and praying for Annastacia and realized the total trust she had that God would provide for her during her illness. She had called a pastor to let him know she wasn’t feeling well and he was able to give her enough money to come into Tala, see the doctor and pay the lab fee but that was all he could do. She trusted God with that, came, saw the doctor, paid their fees and went back home…trusting God to handle the rest the next day (who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Matthew 6:27). The next day arrived and she had enough money in her pocket to get to Tala to find out the results…she didn’t know what she would do when she found out because she didn’t have any money to buy the meds but she came anyway, trusting God.
That’s God’s timing…always on time and in the perfect circumstances for us to see His glory, we could not have done anything to orchestrate this any better. (and who knows but that you have come…for such a time as this? Esther 4:14)
