Yup, 2 more days before Tarrin (our eldest daughter) sets foot on Kenyan soil and I am excited beyond imagination 🙂  It’s been over a year since I’ve seen her – ok, I’ve seen her on skype but not in person – or any of my kids for that matter and it will feel so good to give her a giant hug!  I told Chuck I should probably warn her that if she wakes up at night and I’m standing over her, don’t worry…I’m just looking and soaking in all her wonderfulness.

our last hug before Chuck and I left for Kenya in 2010

My parenting feelings remind me of how God feels about me, He knows me “You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.”  Psalm 139:2.  I know He’s excited beyond imagination to see me and give me a huge hug “…there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.” Luke 15:7 and I know He’s looking over me while I sleep (maybe not to soak in my wonderfulness, but to pour His wonderfulness into me!) “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety.” Psalm 4:8

No matter how old I get I will always be God’s daughter and His feelings for me will never change.
