It’s only noon here and my head is filled with “what to do next”.  The internet has not been very cooperative lately so that puts a damper on things, plus this morning I ran out of credit on my phone.  This is the first time this has ever happened to me!  Normally I check the balance every so often (I don’t make many calls so the credit I top up with lasts for a while) but this morning as I was talking with a student the phone disconnected.  I figured he either ran out of credit or battery….lo and behold when I tried to call him back I received a message saying I didn’t  have sufficient credit to complete the action!  So that too puts a damper on things.  I can’t sms a student for her grades or to reserve a restaurant for our visiting group, call to make arrangements for a student to be picked up on Monday (for the doctors appointment I wrote about yesterday) or to relay the time for our (and the groups) pick up for church.

Those “what to do next” questions are now neatly organized as a list in my notebook (thanks Sunil for the notebook).  And hopefully very soon my phone will be topped up to actually do what’s on the to-do list.  Ah yes, a nice cup of Kenyan tea is always a welcome addition!

Until I can get to my phone issues….

Beach volleyball anyone!? Guess we need the net & ball first, but we are off to a good start! Thanks FBC New Baltimore, the sand is beautiful!

Last night we ran out of water at our home, so to prepare for flushing toilets we have water from the cistern set outside our door.  For some reason the cats are fascinated by and love to drink the cistern water so it was a gathering at the “water hole” this morning!  And water must have been pumped sometime during the night because it was flowing before we left for C4KK this morning….hopefully it will still be flowing when we get home for a nice shower.

Now I’m off to make a list for Sunil of the food items needed for our visiting group…at least that doesn’t require internet or phone!  Oh and happy 4th of July!
