Today is pretty much like any other day here in Kenya…..
I need to talk with the secondary boys (who are home on leave after their school was burned) about what items they need when they return to school. One boy has to have everything replaced as he was in the dorm that was burned. Another boy wasn’t in the fire yet he threw his mattress and blanket out the window (not clear on why yet) and found it later torn into shreds (foam mattress). And yet another boy had pieces of his uniform stolen from the clothes line. We’ve paid more in “school supplies” than actual school fees…and school fees are outrageous!
Apparently my nice schedules are not correct….after discussing with “people in the know”, putting a schedule on paper, discussing some more and finally having a final print out I come to find out the nursery kids’ timing is off by about an hour in the morning! I hate to do it but maybe I’ll just have to scratch off the incorrect time and write in the correct time (doesn’t look pretty but I guess it will work).
I did take some time out to decorate my phone!
We’ve moved the dog house to another area of the compound (next to the rabbit house):
Everyone was having a hard time with the name “Drago” (getting it confused with Drogba…a football player) so we’ve changed this puppy’s name to “Frodo”….
And we added a new member to the C4KK family….meet Sheba!
That’s today!
