What a past week or so it has been! The FBC group (except for Rod & Bobbie who are staying with us until Thursday) have made it safely to the US (sorry George to hear about your missing luggage…again!) and we thank God for their safe travel. Praying now for a peaceful “re-entry”, we know first hand how difficult that can be. Please bear with them as they begin processing the differences between what they’ve experienced over the past 10 days and their “normal” life in the States. Group, I’m hear to listen!
Yesterday (Monday) Rod, Bobbie, Chuck and I basically stayed at our home in Tala…relaxing, chatting, reading and eating all without 29 kids clamoring for us to play Uno! We did head into Sunil’s (Sunny Lucky) and saw the bikes were fixed and ready to head back up to C4KK and we were in need of a few supplies (since we hadn’t been home for awhile).
Today Rod and Chuck are taking the bikes up to C4KK and who knows what else they will be doing, but Bobbie and I are at home. We are making hamburg buns for dinner tonight, cupcakes (in the new cupcake pans I received) and may check out a few movies (with a possibility of popcorn and/or candy!) or I might just continue playing Angry Birds Space on Bobbie’s Nook 🙂
Tomorrow we’ll all head up to C4KK to allow Rod and Bobbie an opportunity to say goodbye to the kids and get a few more things organized in the office.
Life will settle back into a somewhat normal pace again, especially since the kids had to return to school for tutoring yesterday. I know everyone will be missing the group terribly but we will keep you all in our prayers as I know you are keeping us in yours! God willing we will see you again this side of heaven!
