Last week, I may have mentioned this in previous posts, we were out of water at our home (not C4KK) for five days. I told Chuck I was not made to live on Little House on the Prairie! I admit, I like it when water, electricity and technology all seem to be working. Believe me that doesn’t happen all that often, we normally have a combination of events taking place: 1) electricity is working but at a very low voltage that won’t even run the microwave (it’s taken me 20 minutes to microwave popcorn!), 2) water is flowing but not enough pressure to make the shower heat up…if we are lucky enough to have electricity at it’s correct voltage, 3) internet is normally sporadic at best.
We brought bathing water from C4KK for a few days so we could at least bucket bath and then used the cistern water for flushing toilets. We were forced to have a specialist look at our toilet:
We’ve also been working on water issues at C4KK. Getting pits (sorry not familiar with the correct terminology) dug deeper to accommodate more water and not flow out into the road:
It’s during times like these, not having water come from the taps at home, when I’m reminded many live without the luxury of running water every day but it also reminds me of the blessing our kids have at C4KK for now having water. Ha, I’m jealous of them for the water!!
