It’s not like every day in Kenya isn’t already an adventure but today was just a bit more for me.

I won’t get into the fact we found out a pastor was charging parents and guardians, under the guise of working for C4KK (which he has no association with us), for their kids to be brought here or charging them a “maintenance” fee.  Peter (our social worker) met with the parents and guardians and set them straight that we do NOT charge parents/guardians for taking care of their children (whom they are unable to take care of themselves).

Nor will I get into the fact the kids start bringing me their ripped clothes, torn backpacks and in need of repair shoes at 5pm Saturday night when they are returning to school on Monday.

But I will tell you Frank is doing well.

He has rainbow stitches!

We also had movie afternoon. I love being able to share my love of movies with the kids but I miss watching movies, reciting lines and heckling with Tarrin, Justin, Mark and Amanda.

Now it’s time to head home for pizza…didn’t make it last night, we didn’t get home until 8:30. So praying electricity is on.

And how was your day?
