It isn’t easy walking a narrow path.  Lately I’ve been walking around the compound at C4KK and there are areas where it is narrow.  In those spots I have to concentrate on where each foot is set and where my next step will be.  Other stretches of the path are wider and my mind tends to wander more because I am not in fear of twisting my ankle.

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. (Matthew 7:13-14)

We were never guaranteed an easy, smooth path.  How difficult is it to wander a broad, open road?  Doing what we will with no regards for anyone or anything around us?  On the other hand, a narrow road is something I have to physically and mentally work at so as not to trip up.

I’ve fallen, tripped, stumbled over and over again but I’m thankful God continues to pick me up, forgive me, dust me off and push me yet again down the narrow path.  By His grace and mercy, that’s where I’ll stay, tripping all the way to Him!
