The past few days have been frustrating to say the least.  I can’t really get into it all because honestly it would take a couple pages to fill you in.  Briefly however,

One thing was dealing with medical issues (not ours but a workers wife is pregnant)….this pregnant woman was having issues and was turned away at two separate hospitals because the nurses are on strike.  They eventually ended up at a clinic and were charged an outrageous amount for a pill (apparently to lower her blood pressure because eventually they were told she has preeclampsia but did not do a blood test to verify this diagnosis).  They allowed her to leave saying “she’s fine and her blood pressure is down.”  Of course it is you gave her a pill!  Plus the doctor was extremely rude and harsh, telling them to “just pay the bill and then I’ll give you the lab results.”  Please keep her in prayer as she is close to full-term.

Another thing is dealing with a student (I had written about her here) We did text her afterwards to accept her apology but told her there are still consequences to her actions and to contact me the next day to discuss.  I  never heard from her and she text me once again apologizing .  When I called she said she never received our reply text….told her I can’t do anything about her messengers but next time we agree to meet she either be there or tell me she can’t make it.

This last thing is pretty minor but frustrating nonetheless.  Ann asked to get an estimate on repairing a radio.  No problem, let me know what it will cost and then we’ll decide if it’s worth it.  She came to me today and said she had told the guy about getting an estimate…instead he went ahead and fixed it and now says we own him an amount that is only 500/ksh less than buying a brand new unit!  Guess this guy got himself a radio!

And I won’t get into the fact we are still without running water at home (I believe it’s been about 5 weeks so far) or that internet has been extremely bad the past few days (so far I’ve had pretty good luck today) or any of the other daily issues because people all over the world are dealing with much worse than my petty issues.  Guess that doesn’t stop me though from complaining, sorry.

We aren’t here to change the medical community, or the educational system, or the governmental hierarchy we do however have to live within each and that’s where the frustration sets in.  It certainly is God’s strength which gets me through each and every frustrating moment….sometimes I’m surprised I do make it through but each day is another victory for Christ.
