Normally Chuck and I take Sunday to relax, sleep in, catch up on reading and have a nice dinner. During the week I really don’t have the energy or motivation to fix dinner (other than sandwiches) because we get home between 6-7 and by the time we shower it’s late and having a big dinner just does not appeal to either of us. So Sunday is my day to fix a nice dinner and today was to be pasta with homemade pasta sauce (with tomatoes from the garden!). However we needed to head up to C4KK for a few things so we still had pasta but we had it for lunch instead…if we have good electricity when we get home I may just have popcorn for dinner 🙂
But here’s what we did on Sunday at C4KK:
Chuck worked on the shamba well with Bosco….the well digger is finishing up today and once the last of the digging is done, Chuck and Bosco, with help from John (our water guy), will put another piece of pipe on the pump (since they have dug down farther) and get it situated in the well. This way the shamba can continue being watered with plenty of water from the well.
Since Sunday is also down time for the kids, the little ones played with blocks.
But even though it’s a relaxing day dinner still has to be made, but many hands make light work! Some are making chapatti while others are cutting cabbage.
And since I’m here and I wasn’t taking anyone away from school work I assembled a photo opportunity.
C4KK! These are all our primary kids!
