Whew…..the toilets are now finished! I know the kids are excited because some of them have been writing their sponsors about them. One wrote “dad made for us English toilets and they are very handsome.” And yes they are quite handsome!
Plus our gate was finally painted! This was supposed to be a project I did with Tarrin when she visited (way back in 2011!) and then we were going to have a visiting group paint it (that didn’t happen either). However, on a recent trip into Joska (our nearest village to C4KK) we found the colors we were looking for.
And painting began! Looks like Chuck is delivering pizza…unfortunately not, he’s just carrying our painting supplies.
Kevin watches as I finish up. Another coat will need to be painted but that will be on Friday.
At the top of the gate we’ll paint “Caring For Kenya’s Kids”. Not sure if I’m going to use alternating colors or one color….that will be decided Friday 🙂
