Just some random photos which were taken throughout the week:
The water tank at C4KK
Chuck and Roman talk tomatoes
Septic being dug for the mission home
Foundation is dug (taking out the soft soil) and then the hole is replaced with stone (all smashed by manual labor)
Edward, Emma, Dan and Bonface help Joyce pick tomatoes
Bosco counts each stone as it is off-loaded
Three different types of stone will be used on the mission home. The top stone in the photo is machine cut to be used for the interior walls, bottom left are “dressed” stones from the quarry (dressed means they are chipped for a somewhat smoother surface) to be used for the exterior walls and bottom right are quarry stones (no dressing, just rough stone) to be used for the foundation.
The main road from our home into Tala after a rain
The kids have their shoes polished and ready for the next day of school
We left C4KK one night pretty late, here we are dropping off Bosco
Bosco not only counts stone but timber as well!
After getting pipe from Sunny Lucky we had to stop on the side of the road to re-tie them….normally Bosco does all the tying and when he does, things stay put!
