Ok this isn’t a new friend but I thought he was pretty cool! We watched this hawk go after a bird (which he basically threw against a window), leave the bird on the ground than sit on this branch for a few minutes before taking off majestically (this was in mom and dad’s backyard!)
Arrived in Lexington, Kentucky Monday evening to finally meet Rod and Marcia Martin in person (been friends for some time on Facebook)! As you can see we had some laughs that evening…late into the evening of course but when God brings people together it just works. I’m so thankful God continues to bring wonderful, supportive people into our lives!
Tuesday we were invited to Sayre Village (so sorry I do not know the politically correct description for an elderly home) where Chuck introduced Saved By God’s Grace but also spoke to the residents about how much God loves them! You should have seen faces shine, it was beautiful.
Tuesday evening we then met more new friends! Sitting and talking about God stuff with others who have a passion for serving the One!
Today, Wednesday, we spent a wonderful afternoon with Lonnie and Patti. We met Lonnie a few years ago in Nairobi at a guest house…walking by and we see a big, white, tattooed guy, has to be Babu Lonnie! It was fantastic chatting with you both!
We leave Kentucky tomorrow morning and I’m really going to miss our new friends…please keep them in prayer as they are leaning on God’s strength for a family health situation.
Thank you all for your continued support, love and care for not only us but our children in Kenya! Which by the way things at C4KK are going well and we are so grateful for God’s mercy which continues to guide them daily in Kenya.
