We have arrived back home safely and we thank you for the prayers for our travels into Nairobi. Sorry this will be short and sweet because I really need to shower and get the Nairobi-ness off me!
Chuck and I met with friends while in town…thanks Johnny & Kate for the invite! We enjoyed the long, leisurely lunch conversation.
Supplies were purchased while in town, stuff like mosquito nets for the kids’ beds, 9 volt batteries (which were needed for the remote control cars we received in the US…bought all types of batteries except 9v!) and items for the mission home.
So to make a long story short (remember this is a short and sweet post, well maybe not so sweet)….after installing the battery in one of the cars and the kids played with it for about two hours…it came back in two pieces! Kids…aarrrgghhh!
Unfortunately one thing that didn’t get resolved was at immigration. But we are still praying God will work out the details of that. A friend who is helping us with the process said “this is God’s battle, not mans. We are to take position and God will fight the battle.” Amen brother! Prayers appreciated for that process as it continues.
Well, that’s it for our short trip into Nairobi. Oh, I did see The Hobbit and was totally bummed about the ending…why didn’t someone warn me!?
