In the paper today is an article on the matatu rules to be implemented (a matatu is a mini-van type vehicle used for public transportation). Because of disagreement of these rules the public transportation system is basically shut down for now…until things get sorted out. This means many will be inconvenienced today attempting to get to work, do errands, go to school or even basic travel.
Normally something like this doesn’t affect the kids, however today 9 of our kids were supposed to go to practice for their game, but because of the “strike” they were unable to get transport to practice. Now they are in school instead of at practice and we are praying the matatus get back up and running so they can go to the games and the rest of the people can get back to their daily schedules.
