Here are a few things that are happening around here (and this is NOT a complete list):
- Arranging to get Sunday clothes made for the kids. This way they can have one set of clothes specifically for Sunday and they won’t have to wear their clean school uniform (keeping them for the week at school)
- Organizing for a couple of the boys to be circumcised
- Scheduling a group photo since all the kids are home on break
- Dealing with teenagers 😉
- Working on the animal shelter for when the cows come home (hoping that will be within the next two weeks!)
- Interviewing the secondary kids for the Mission Moment video series
- Weeding my backyard and some light landscaping (thank you to a friend who gave us some vegetation to plant)
- Getting food prepped for the cow…the napier is chopped into pieces, weighed and put into bags so we know how much she’s eating/how much to feed her (this is the local cow but it’s good practice for the grade cow)
- C4KK Board meeting happened last week
- One of our kittens was sent to a new home (thanks Bosco for taking her home)
- Still house training Bear….sometimes very frustrating :/
- Getting “work” schedules for the kids while they are on break….no sense them sitting around 😉
- Organizing for tutors while the kids are home on break. We also have a couple kids from outside C4KK coming to stay during tutoring to help them in their studies.
- Working in the community (you’ll hear more about this in an upcoming blog post)
Thank you to everyone who helps with this endeavor of life at C4KK! I pray you are blessed knowing you are helping widows and orphans here in Kenya!
