You might remember this family C4KK is assisting.  We’ve continued to work with our friend, Joseck, on various projects for mama Veronica.  They are tackling the floor of her home and next is the roof.

Winnie also received some personal clothing items because she had none.

Here’s another family we hope to assist with our friend, Ben.  He writes:

I visited these little ones to see the way forward concerning their education. But, i did a great mistake by giving them the two loaves of bread. I did not know that they had gone for days empty and when i gave them the bread they tried eating as much as they could and they boy in the corner got choked, but there was no way you could tell him to go slow. Luckily he was ok despite the choking. Their father has been bedridden for sometime and their mother had to transport him home maybe to die there.

Friends, you want to help in a tangible way…on a case by case basis? We are working with Ben on issues like this one. He sees this every day as he works in the slums in Kenya. Some of the situations are unimaginable for someone living in the US, but Tammy and I see them and they are our reality. How can you pass by situations like this without helping where you can. To get a situation like this turned around is about $500. With that we can get beds, mattresses, blankets, medical support and food to get them on the road to health. Even more than the above, you will give them hope. Please, don’t turn your head away from these situations. If everyone could help with something even once in a while we will be your representatives on the ground and show the love of Jesus to these little ones.

Together let’s “Bear one another’s burdens and fulfill the law of Christ”. We are hoping to raise $1,000 in recurring donations per month for our Benevolence fund which will help us continue to assist families like these.  If you would like to help please go to our donate page and click on the Donate Now button. Use the allocation of “Other” and simply write “Benevolence” in the comments…we will work together to give hope while serving the One who is Hope. Thank you for your prayerful consideration.
