Today I simply want to show you what your support has helped us do so far through C4KK Community Outreach Team members (and this is by no means a complete list):
Grandma Margaret’s latrine before (wood floor rotting through):
After, cement floor with one side a latrine and the other a bathing area (she and her grandchildren used to bath in the bush):
Before, grandma Margaret’s roof and bed (for her plus 6 grandchildren):
After, solid roof and bunk beds for the kids, complete with mattresses/blankets/etc.:
Before, grandma Margaret’s kitchen (she normally would use this set up in the home, creating a very smoky environment):
After, an outdoor sheltered kitchen so no more smoky home:
Before, a mom plus 4 children lived here. No you aren’t missing the home, they lived in the bush:
After, a roof over their heads and beds to sleep on:
Before: Mary was abandoned and found shelter here for a few days.
After, she now lives with friends and is attending school for the first time, (Mary is far left in the picture):
Before: Winnie, her brother and father all slept on the floor:
After:
Before: these children went to school with holes in their school uniforms (and no underwear so they would hold the backs of the uniform closed and basically kept to themselves). After: the children are standing proud with new uniforms and they know someone cares:
Before – little to no hope
After – being introduced to the love of Christ and His saving grace:
Seeing the smiles on the watato (children) certainly brings a smile to my heart and thanks to the Almighty for His provision through our supporters. Please know these lives have been touched by your support.
