When you look at this photo what do you see?
Perhaps someone grieving or embarrassed? Let me give you the background story and then tell me what you see.
This woman is dealing with a very sick child, Mercy, who cries all the time. Mercy was taken to the hospital for a CT scan (through generous donors) and “sadly the doctor says a lot of damage has been done. This is due to meningitis that was not treated properly or in time.” The CT scan showed how one side of her brain has been damaged and that is the reason for the child’s suffering.
The mom is not able to work because of Mercy’s health (she also has two other daughters to care for) and therefore cannot feed her children or pay rent (which is about $10/month). Her “landlord has been threatening to kick them out unless they pay the [rent] arrears” and she says “we have been sleeping without food.”
Because of your assistance through Saved By God’s Grace Benevolence Fund she is caught up on rent and paid for another 6 months. Praise God! This photo shows “tears of joy after we paid her house rent, bought medicines for her ailing daughter, and bought them some food. This is the kingdom of God reaching out to souls and showing them the love of Christ. I am so glad you gave.” Ben (our friend who is working with her).
What do I see in this photo? Hope and the love of Jesus Christ being poured out onto another human being…not for thanks or to receive something in return but simply to let another person know they are loved.
