Me again 🙂  Things are going as things go in Kenya….encouraging, right!?  Really though the kids are doing well, secondary kids are back at school and apparently the kids aren’t that cold since they are outside every evening playing on the volleyball court.

playingThey’ve been using the upstairs room for movies, meetings and studying and that’s a cool thing to see being put to use.  I’m suggesting all the games be put up there too so the kids have those to play with on rainy days (might have to check the progress on this tomorrow).  You can also look here for information about what is needed/wanted for the upper floor to make it more of a study hall/recreation area not only for our kids but the community as well.

New procedures are being put into place, having the local staff be responsible for more of the day to day activities.

C4KK Benevolence is working on the Koma Ranch Primary School outreach program and the last of those kids were here last Saturday for their fitting for new uniforms.

Bear and Pixie are doing well too and love playing outside with Chuck

bear-and-chuck bear,-pixie-and-chuck-(3)Chuck and I met with one of the founders of a primary school to see how we could partner with them on supplying uniforms (a fundraiser is in the works and I’ll let you know details when I have them)

apparently this little guy doesn’t even have the correct color of uniform, but he is still welcome at this school!

after lunch the kids line up (sort of) to have water poured in their dish so they can rinse it out before taking it back home

Last night I had a terrible headache and this morning woke up with a kink in my neck so Chuck helped me with a massage and Bear felt Chuck needed one too 🙂

So that’s an update for you, albeit a very brief update.  Thanks for bearing with me on the slow updates and please continue to tune in for more 🙂
