So much happens each week and I am sorry for not relating all the people who are helped each day through C4KK Benevolence but I’m here today (and tomorrow) to brief you on what’s been happening lately. I didn’t want this post to get too long so I split it into two days, I hope you don’t mind.
Anne is a single mother (divorced) with six children. She has genital prolapse and used to sell fruits for a living, however because of her condition she is no longer able to work and has had to beg for food for her family. Anne wonders aloud to our friend, “why, why me God?” We are currently finding the cost of surgery for Anne. Also while Anne was at the hospital for consultation her 4th grade daughter, Lyne, was sent home because her hair was long and dirty. A C4KK Community Team member was given funds to take her to the salon and will also take her back to school and explain the home situation.
Mzee Okemi and his wife received food, bedding and other essentials. He told us his nickname is “double, double” and he said “God has remembered me double, double.” Our friend talked to Okemi and he “was all ears as I explained to him about the love of God and how He sent Jesus His only begotten son that people like him and ourselves might have life. He (Okemi) said he used to like hearing the Word preached but now that he is immobile he can’t go anywhere and nobody comes to share with him either. Okemi said ‘they ran away from us because we are useless to their church.'”
Through the assistance from the Benevolence fund, a friend was able to pay Pamela’s hospital bill so she could leave the hospital…she had been discharged because the hospital could not help her any further but since she couldn’t pay the bill they kept her prisoner until she could pay…all the while racking up a daily bill. Our friend says, “Hearing that God had touched someones heart to take care of her hospital bill made her happy. It’s long since i saw her wearing a smile. Today she smiled. I am so glad someone gave.”
C4KK Community Outreach Team also discovered a woman (Refah) who is sick and has not eaten for a while. Our friend says it was curiosity which led him to the home (I believe it was God directed) and they dressed her and gave her some food and will attempt to get her medical attention.
Those are a few of the lives which you have assisted with in the past week and they have witnessed God’s love in action. Please pray for these individuals that they will see they are not “useless”, they will know God does remember them “double, double” and their question will not be “why God” but a praise on their lips for the Almighty! Also please keep our friends who are working with us through C4KK Benevolence that God would continue to strengthen them for the daily fight against the evils of this world.
