Yes it’s been a few days since my last post, but I had mentioned at the beginning of the month posts would be fewer during December while the kids are on break 🙂
We have visitors here right now, Katie and Hannah. We picked them up at their project, Wasamaria Wema (Good Samaritan), Friday afternoon. Here’s a look at our time there:
Each child also received a Christmas cookie and we left jump ropes, soccer balls and two very large bunches of bananas from our shamba.
On our way home we got a flat tire:
but thankfully it was a quick fix with the spare tire.
Today, Saturday, the fundi (craftsman) was here doing the work on expanding the boys dorm to include showers:
And we gave Katie and Hannah the grand tour of C4KK. Hannah decided to get up close and personal with Ghost 🙂
After the tour we came in and chatted the way forward, discussing ideas, hopes and dreams (great talk!). Then it was spaghetti and meatballs for early dinner and I think I just heard Katie and Hannah both say “just don’t close my eyes”, so I believe they are trying to stay awake to get some sleep tonight 🙂
Tomorrow we have friends from Acres of Mercy coming for a visit it will be nice to chat with them for a bit and see their new baby boy, Baraka (blessing).
