When we lived in the US I loved to entertain. Getting a menu planned out, preparing the house, setting the table with just the right dishes and looking forward to spending time with friends and family.
Recently
- I got to figure out a menu….substituting what I couldn’t get with what I could. Chicken alfredo with fettuccine (thanks dad for sending me grated Parmesan), sauteed mushrooms (a bonus find!) and peach cobbler for dessert (canned peaches, another bonus find!)
- I didn’t necessarily clean the house…oh well, you take what you get, right?
- Setting the table was fun….I have 6 plates so Chuck and I ate off plastic and Chuck had to use a giant serving fork for dinner while I used plastic because I have 6 forks!
- We did however have a great time laughing and chatting with friends, both old and new!
Had to put both pictures in so everyone was accounted for! Thanks friends for the great time! We must do it again but that would mean visitors from Texas and United Kingdom coming back for a visit! Karibusana!
Then immediately after dessert Chuck got a call from Bosco saying Joy (one of our cows) was giving birth. You would have thought someone yelled FIRE the way the place cleared out! But hey, we are a full service mission home…dinner and entertainment 🙂
And Joy gave birth to a beautiful baby girl…Precious!
