Yes!  I was able to get my photos done and work on a blog post!  I guess I better stop congratulating myself and just get it done before electricity goes out!  UPDATE….as I was in the final stages of editing this post the electricity went out for the afternoon.  We turned on the generator so now I’m hoping to get this posted 🙂

Friends had a fundraiser for Acres of Mercy (a small school we work with) to raise funds for children to get a new uniform.  The uniforms were delivered yesterday and boy were they happy!

We also delivered food to Acres of Mercy to get them through the end of the term.

The pump for the Luanda community well project had been stolen, but C4KK had a pump which was not being used so we gave it to Joseck and they now have water running again!

Jigger treatments continue in Luanda, in schools and at the clinic…thank you Doctors Raphael and Edward for your time and commitment to these children and thank you Joseck for organizing these treatments.

The Mission Home backyard is getting a facelift due to Bear climbing over the fence!  So for the next few days they’ll have to be taken out on the leash and they really don’t like it.

The Dunholm food distribution continues strong!  Beverly says the  “menu is packed lunches with 2 cold meat sandwiches..bananas and juice. The team doesn’t have transport today to carry hot meals and utensils etc. As its a long walk..but they are committed and I praise God for them!”

Anastacia was attacked by thugs recently and they damaged her eye.  She was taken to the local clinic in Luanda and they are recommending she be taken to a better equipped facility to handle this situation.  Unfortunately they say she will most likely lose the eye.  Her husband died in an accident and she was sleeping on rags.  C4KK Benevolence treated her jiggers and purchased a bed and mattress, gave her a blanket and gathered a little food for her.  We are also looking into getting her eye treated.

Our friend in Nakuru found these two little ones and says “We cannot save the whole world, but I was so touched by these little ones aged 7 and 5, the two children are HIV+ and to make matters worse their dad abandoned them two years ago never to be seen. Today, I found them very sick and hungry. They only had a mango each as they waited for a miracle of food and medicines. Thank God for my brother’s keeper (his ministry) and partners. I believe we can help them. I bought them some food and meds to keep them going.  Found out that the two children apart from being malnourished are having signs of TB an opportunistic infection related to HIV/AIDS and need to be started on medication again. Will make sure they get to a health facility.”

And this is our same friend who is being questioned for doing good.  He said recently, “Today while i worked in the field some people told me that a certain lady wanted to see me. I remembered the lady. She is a care giver with one of the organisations that have been fighting us. For a long time she has hated me with passion and would not great me whenever we met in the streets. Now, she has a son that did so well in last years KCPE (primary school Class 8 exam), but no one is willing to assist her including the organisation she works for that has all the resources at their disposal, but they said they can’t help her. This made her to seek our help and we said to her as long as the good LORD provides we will assist her. Remember do not pay evil with evil.”

The Heart Surgery match program for Peter is still on-going, the children at C4KK children’s home are doing well, Form 4 graduates are still waiting for their results, Class 8’s are doing well in their new secondary schools and life basically continues on.

What we do, purchasing beds, mattresses, school fees, medication, treatments, water, repair homes, food, etc., takes money, blunt but true.  If you would like to help with any of these situations please donate through our donation page and write in the comment section what your donation is for (i.e. “heart surgery”).  Or if you simply would like to be partners with us in doing what we do (these situations and more) you can also visit our donation page and choose “C4KK Benevolence” in the allocation drop down box.

Your donation, no matter how large or small, will be utilized to it’s biggest potential in helping those who are hurting, suffering and have little hope.  Bringing hope to the hopeless is a theme for us this year and your donations help us to do what Jesus calls us to do, thank you.
