Chuck and I are back from our counseling retreat and it was WONDERFUL. God gave us much peace along with new friends who spoke directly into our lives….you’ll hear more on that later. Today though I’ll show you more of what’s happening in Kenya through your support.
She is one of the widows we are helping with house rent, food and medication. She cannot afford to buy a mattress. Together with her children and grandchildren they both sleep down on the floor with no blankets to cushion them from the cold. Her rent is $15 per month rent
It’s good to be a blessing to others. Pastor Patrick and his wife Eva were so happy and grateful for the new house.
I am so glad someone gave. A child at an orphanage deep in the village will have food for a couple of weeks.
A widow and her four children live in this house. She is a born again Christian and the men from her village have vowed not help her build a new house because she has refused to have more babies with them. Now, there is one big problem…there is a leopard that has been seen around their home on several occasions and their fear is that one night it may attack them through the big hole on their wall.
This morning I am thinking of starting to build a house for this widow and her children a new house. So far we have $100 which covers 10 iron sheets, six kilos of nails. Another $100 Will help in buying trees which will be cut and used as building materials plus labour.
How do you say “no” when an orphaned child ask you to give her some food? I had no food for her family today, but i am glad I helped her sickly mom with rent issue and brought her some pain killer medicine that she badly needed. If the Lord provides I will return to her with some goodies.
In this part of the world if you touch someone’s heart they in return bless you with a chicken. This was after we built them a house after their house was destroyed by fire which burnt all their earthly possessions.
Our friend Ben says often on Facebook “I am so glad someone gave” and I totally agree!
I find it hard to express my thankfulness in being used to help God’s children, our neighbors. You are part of this ministry with your financial support and as you can see the need is never ending. Please consider becoming a supporter of Saved By God’s Grace in order for more assistance to be given to the widows and orphans of Kenya. See our Donate Page for more information.
We thank you, our team members thank you and those being assisted thank you (even if they can’t give everyone a chicken!).
