Wouldn’t it be wonderful to say it’s a new year and with that eradication of poverty!? Sadly that is not the case, nor will it be in the future (Jesus tells us this in Scripture). Saved By God’s Grace (through our ministry in Kenya, Caring for Kenya’s Kids-C4KK) continues to assist our neighbors who are in need through your generous support. The feeding programs continue to feed hundreds of individuals each month, the medical clinic forges on in the fight against jiggers (along with all the other illnesses plaguing the community) and acts of kindness are being done each and every day.
Our friend Ben “came across this family that really need help. Their husband and father abandoned them early last year and has since remarried. One of the baby is sick forcing the mother to stay at home and take care of him. In this house the only possession they have are the sacks they use as their bedding. They have been sleeping empty and the landlord too is threatening to lock them out of the house because of the rent arrears. Keep them in your prayers”
Do you see the smile on the girls face? Isn’t it amazing how simply having a picture taken by someone who cares enough to stop in and see how they are doing can bring about such a beautiful smile!? Will they see Jesus’ love for them?
One thing I do see happening is God’s love being felt and witnessed to many in the areas where our outreaches are located. Each of our volunteers is a light in dark places and God is being glorified through these small and large acts of kindness. Please keep all our workers in prayer for their continued strength.
Revival Worship Church in Luanda (our friend Pastor Joseck is a pastor here) is reaching many with God’s message of salvation! Not only has church attendance increased several fold in the past 2 months but many have come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ!
