Saved By God’s Grace continues to encourage local communities to become involved with those in need around them.  It warms my heart to see this in action:

Joseck, our friend and fellow worker for Christ says,

Seeing the reality of poverty on this part of the world, I wake up in the wee hours of the night to pray and groan for God’s intervention. There are so many people in the villagers out here that lack clean water, decent shelter, clothes and education. It disturbs me. It does because the little ones that never attend school are those the world refers to as future leaders. How will they lead without education and skills, I ask myself? How will they be able to put their foot on the ground to bring change in their communities when they have not experienced that change in their lives. How will they grow up loving ‘thy neighbor as thyself’ when their neighbor didn’t show them love? Really? There must be a way of living above the circumstances of life.Christ is the true view of a happy life. The poor and needy are objects of scorn, but true followers of Jesus Christ can bring change into these individual’s lives by simply getting involved ,loving them and supporting with prayer and things they lack. FRIENDS,IF WE CLAIM TO HANG OUT WITH JESUS IN OUR LIVES AND PLACES OF WORSHIP THEN PEOPLE WILL KNOW BECAUSE THEY WILL TELL WE ARE ACTING LIKE HIM!

Joseck also shared with us:

This brother here is physically challenged and has been down with malaria and without medicine and food. This is where he sleeps. A bare floor without mattress. His three wheelchair tyres are long gone ,he literally crawled all the way to seek for support at our house this morning. Each tyre would cost approximately 600 Kenya shillings (approximately $7 x 3). Worse still ,he has no skill to fend for himself.Friends, Let’s become a community and become our brother’s keeper!

This grandmother was found on the side of the road trying to sell these two pieces of fruit in order to buy some little food for her family.  Again, with the assistance from Peter, she was given food.
