One thing about working with the poor is that there will always be “the poor”.  Jesus said it way back then and it’s still true today.  Saved By God’s Grace does what it can with the resources we receive and for that we are thankful.  But that doesn’t make it any easier to not be able to help those who are seeking assistance….sometimes literally a life line.  For us, there’s always a waiting line of people needing help.

Our team members do point them to Jesus, pray with them and hold their hand, but we can’t feed everyone, we can’t clothe everyone, we can’t pay school fees for everyone.  That fact sometimes frustrates and angers me but I have to remember to look at the one person we are able to assist with food or clothes or school fees and see the difference that help makes in their life.

I’m definitely not saying prayer isn’t making a difference…giving them the opportunity to accept God’s free gift of salvation is the most important thing we do but preaching without action is not what we are called to do either.

Providing basic needs allows our team members to love on people with Christ’s love and tangibly show them how much God loves them.

Please consider becoming a supporter of this ministry and help more families, students, orphans and widows receive physical and spiritual  help.

Help us turn sad faces into happy faces.
