The stories which are passed along to us and Saved By God’s Grace are often tough to hear. Their reality may be completely foreign to ours but it’s reality all the same. Our partners on the ground in Kenya are working tirelessly meeting people, supplying needs and above all, showing those in need the love of Jesus.
One story is Rose and her family, told to us by our friend Ben:
There is this family that lives in kwa Rhonda slums that we were able to help today. Paid their house rent, bought them some basics, etc. In this house lives the mother and her five children. The first born daughter was sexually abused by her father, forced to abort twice by the father and eventually gave birth. This landed the father in prison where he was jailed for life. Now, the family has been going through tough times. The second born daughter aged 14, is also pregnant. No food, no beds, beddings, clothes etc. We have been able to help them with house rent every month, all the children except pregnant Rose and the little baby Jessica, the rest are in school.
Perhaps these are simply words on a page but I pray you see Rose, baby Jessica, mom and the entire family as people who are hurting, suffering in a world which seems to have turned away from them. But through your donations we are reaching out to assist families like Rose’s.
This is Rose’s mom (Rose is 14 years old and pregnant) with her youngest child.
Here’s Rose with some of the items given to the family
A mother of three daughters is very sick with no one to support her. We try our best to make sure her rent is paid and that she has some food and medicine.
This is amongst the 10 women we are assisting with rent, hospital visits, medicine etc. A mother of three boys abandoned by her husband. She is HIV positive.
Please prayerfully consider partnering with us in assisting families like these, whose reality and stories are difficult to hear, but they are reality. With your help we can touch lives and show them they are loved.
