Once again it’s the beginning of a school term for our kids in Kenya. These beginnings are pretty stressful because that’s when school fees are due.
If the kids do not get their term paid for they are sent home. Unfortunately for many kids in Kenya this is a reality and for some it’s an opportunity for getting into trouble.
Saved By God’s Grace has been blessed in the fact our kids have continued to attend school and you, our wonderfully generous donors, have made that a reality.
This term, which begins in May, we are in need of $6000 to get all our kids back into school. Here’s a short list of a few of those students:
- Emma – Class 8 (8th grade) – this is her final year in primary and has continually been #1 in her class.
- Faith – Form 4 (12th grade) – this is her final year in secondary and has consistenly received B’s. She is currently position 14 out of 235 among her peers.
- Isaac – Form 2 (10th grade) – Isaac has done well in his secondary education. Term 1 he received a B- and was position 18 out of 215 students.
- Elizabeth – 3rd year in college. She continues to perform well and will begin an internship in May for teaching.
- Benson – vocational studies. Benson has completed his training and will be looking for employment.
Please prayerfully consider assisting these students in continuing their education. Or perhaps you’d like to have a more active role in one particular students life? If so, contact us and we can let you know which students are in need of a sponsor.
Grandmothers food program
It was another successful food distribution for our grandmothers. Not only do they receive food to take home but they get a hot meal, fellowship and Bible study.
