In these days of uncertainty some of us are dealing with anxious thoughts or fear or both, but among the darkness we must remember the Light of God. He brings us the Hope of Jesus and an eternity where –
‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” Revelation 21:4-5
During these days we may just be simply trying to get through each day and I don’t mean to belittle that because I’ve felt the same. However I’m also reminded of our brothers and sisters in Kenya who are struggling with not only this virus but homes which are falling apart, no food to feed their family (markets are shutting down due to the virus). This is especially true for those families who were relying on their child being fed at school, but with schools closed they are now home.
Here are a few quotes from our friend in Kenya who is working diligently with those suffering, many times alone with no one to care for them. He is there to wash their body, sweep a floor, feed the hungry, bring medicine or simply sit with them, hold their hand and pray.
Some people are hurting so bad you have to do more than preach a message to them. You have to be a MESSAGE to them.
There are days Caroline does not know where she will find the strength to get out of bed. But sickness, exhaustion & despair will not feed her kids or fetch water. She has to get up and step into the sunlight of another Kenyan morning. The kids have to eat and unless we take them food they cannot afford to eat. Lets remember them & other plwha (people living with hiv/aids), this trying moments.
My phone stopped functioning fully making it difficult to take pics, but just wanted to let you know that, we have continued being a blessing to many. Distributing maize flour, porridge flour, bar soaps, hand sanitizers, pain medicine. Our country is under curfew from 7pm – 5 am. We do ministry between 8 am and 3 pm taking all precautions as per the ministry of health guidelines.
Children praying for me so that i can bring them candies wherever i visit them. Some times they come as many as 100 kids. I love my work reaching all age groups from kids to the elderly. Remember us in your prayers.
We here at Saved By God’s Grace understand the strain many of you are experiencing and pray you are seeking comfort from our Heavenly Father and His peace will cover you completely.
If you are able to assist we could use your help as many families are hungry and unable to get food during the closures of markets. We appreciate your prayerful consideration in helping our neighbors in Kenya through this difficult time.
