Recently I told you about a young family where the children are orphaned and on their own.  They are in need of a new home because as you can see theirs was falling apart.

Thanks to donations we were able to begin construction and you can see the happiness on the childrens faces!

Did the first phase of the wall. Will do the second phase next week then the final one later. The kids are so grateful. Also will be digging a pit latrine. I noticed they go to a latrine shared by about 10 homesteads.

Helping women and infants

We are working with a local hospital to help mothers and their infants through the support group PMTCT HEi (prevention of mother to child transmission HEi (HIV exposed infants)) to provide food and other necessities.

Today’s meeting with mothers and their new borns ages 1 day old to six months old. We shared amongst 28 mothers. Some were in the wards after putting to bed. Asante Sana

For those inside the wards who had just given birth.

The loads were too heavy we had to get motorcycles to ferry the mothers to their homes.

While helping the women here, women from a nearby facility came looking for food as well….

They came to the hospital wanting to be helped with food too. They are also mothers from another pmtct HEi group in another health facility not far from this one. We told them we had nothing left and sent them back.

Please consider a donation to Saved By God’s Grace to bring more smiles to orphans and to enable us to help more women rather than leaving empty handed.
