In my last blog post I put out a request for help for 8 widows and their homes. Your generosity has been a blessing to Jackline, Halima, Mary, and Alice.
Here are a few before photos of their homes which needed repairs…
These roofs were badly in need of replacing. The thatch was degraded from the elements and termites. Mom’s put plastic bags or sheeting in areas to help the family stay dry during the rains.
With your help we have been able to assit 4 widows and their families. They will now have a safe, dry place to live.
That deserves a “Yay God!”
Alice’s home is almost done
Halima’s home needs mudding on the walls but then it will be finished
Jackline’s home is almost done
Frame work for Mary’s home is built then the mud walls are placed
⇒
New layers of mud are placed to make the walls sturdy once again
That’s four of the eight we would like to finish…can we do it together!?
Here’s 5 year old Abby and her mother. Abby is standing in the doorway of her home (which she shares with her mom and 7 other siblings). The walls are falling down due to floods and the roof is badly damaged.
Abby and her mom sleep on the floor with only a mosquito net as their mattress.
Please consider helping Abby and others like her so we can get the other 4 homes repaired. Each home costs $500 and if you can help please visit our Donate page to give securely online.
Thank you and God bless!
