I have to admit, I like it when we get packages in the mail. Sometimes it’s stuff for the kids and sometimes it’s stuff for us personally. Either way, thank you! I don’t like the customs charges, but there’s really not much we can do about that. Anyway, we received a package recently and once we arrived home we opened it up. What a surprise to find not only gifts for this person’s sponsor children but some goodies for us as well. And when I say goodies I mean goodies! Mint truffle Kisses, caramel Kisses, a box of cereal, pepperoni, York peppermint and caramel coffee creamers! Timely in that my last flavored coffee creamer was just about done (I can only get that in Nairobi) and the M&M’s I have for my chocolate fix are almost gone too…now I have the Kisses 🙂 And I did have to taste one or two or three already!
Plus she sent a soft, fuzzy blanket. Timely in that as soon as we finished opening the package the electricity went out….not that it’s cold but the mosquitoes were out in full force. So I wrapped up in that blanket, sweating but not getting buzzed by the deadly insect. Although God has protected me thus far from those pesky critters I’ve still gotten several bites on my legs but so far no malaria! I would show you a picture of my legs but really no one needs to see that!
This is a bit of a “fluff” post but just wanted to express my thanks to everyone who prays, sacrifices funds to support, send packages and help with “jail fees” (aka customs charges!) for this ministry and the kids we are here to help.
Thank you!
