Chuck and I decided to head out for a picnic today.  It was a beautiful, sunny, windy afternoon, perfect for a picnic near the river.

As we head out into the interior we go past a small herd of antelope (maybe 5 or 6), sorry I couldn’t get a better picture I was only using my phone.

Once we made it to Athi River we found a nice spot to relax.

Chuck kept an eye out for the crocodile, or maybe it’s just a boulder!

As we ate our lunch (nothing special, a sandwich for Chuck and cold chicken for me) we talked, laughed and enjoyed the beautiful scenery.

After we were finished with the chicken we threw the bones out for any of the critters who might come by to enjoy them.  Boy were we surprised as two hawks began swooping around us eyeing the bones!  One finally picked up a bone and left the scene while the other continued circling until we left him alone to enjoy his meal.
