We continue working on filling our US visitation calendar 🙂 If you or someone/group you know would like to hear about the work we do here in Kenya please click on the above calendar to find out which dates are available then get in touch with me (by using the email link on the calendar page) and I’ll pencil you in! We’ll be in the Michigan area August/September and Arizona area October/November.
Also, for our friends living between Michigan and Arizona….we’ll be leaving Michigan around September 30th and we’d love to make arrangements to stop by on our way through to make a presentation to your group, Bible study, book club, etc.!
Now for a few other questions/favors/comments:
1) My point and shoot camera was stolen back in November 2012 (our social worker took it to get photos of the kids’ home villages and he was robbed, the camera and all his clothing was stolen but thankfully he was not hurt) and I’m wondering if someone in the Midland area has a point and shoot camera I could borrow for the duration of our visit. We’ll be in the states from August 1 – December 7.
2) Anyone know of an eye doctor who might give two missionaries a great deal on an eye exam? Also somewhere we can get reasonably priced glasses (in case we need to update ours). We are set up with dental and medical appointments so an eye exam would also be a blessing.
3) Ok, this one is TOTALLY personal and TOTALLY a want….anyone interested in springing for a mani/pedi for me!? Plus if there are any massage therapists within hearing of this post who might consider gifting massages to a couple of missionaries, we would be very much appreciative. Also for my hairdressing friends….haircut please!?
These are just a few items mulling around in my head lately….none of it is urgent or an emergency, just wondering. We will be working on a very tight budget (because we are in the States does not mean the kids will stop eating, or going to school, so as it is in Kenya, money will be tight). I’ve learned a long time ago it doesn’t hurt to ask….I’m asking if we can rely on the generosity of friends and family to help us along?
God continues to bless us with providence to live here in Kenya and do the work He has set before us and I trust Him to provide during our 4 month stint in the United States.
Thank you to all who have helped, both here and there.
