Wow, it’s been a busy few days and I apologize for not being around and keeping you up to date. Bobbie and Rod arrived safely and on time and honestly we haven’t let them relax for a minute since! (please keep Bobbie in prayer, sinus issues) We were all able to sleep at C4KK Mission Home the night of their arrival….nothing was clean or unpacked but we did have beds (although Chuck and I slept on our mattress on the floor and picked up the bed the next day).
Here are a few photos (thanks to Bobbie) of the work being done at C4KK Mission Home:
hanging a towel bar
Rod is a mad man with the vacuum! What a blessing his skills have been!
Rod cleaning and painting the corner basin
Rod and Chuck hang curtains…not an easy job considering the curtains were all different sizes (even for same size windows). It was like putting together a puzzle that the pieces didn’t all fit together.
Painting around the trim….another job that wasn’t completed by the people we paid to do the job…this is Kenya.
Bobbie and I painting the Caring for Kenya’s Kids sign
Our make shift kitchen….until the real kitchen is complete
Living room….have to cover all the furniture with all the construction dust. But I can always have Rod vacuum 🙂
Kitchen cabinets being built
Guest bath being cleaned
grout being put in
Bosco helping with a fence around the mission home
Staircase to the upper floor (to be completed at a later time)

Dining room (kitchen on left and spare room across the hall)

Hanging the shower curtain
It has certainly been a whirlwind few days but I am so thankful for Rod and Bobbie’s help! Still more work to be done but much easier with friends to help lessen the load 🙂
