Picture0038Ok, first off….Toothpick is not liking the great outdoors!  He’s dirty and full of pickers, poor guy.  He comes in (sneaks in actually) when construction is happening and the doors are left open.  We let him stay for a bit but then has to go back outside.  We would love to have him indoors but he has a nasty habit of peeing on things….no good.  And thank you Holli for the beautiful scarf 🙂

organizing-peter's-officeWith our upcoming visit to the States we are moving responsibilities around.  Bosco will take over our office at the children’s home handling the day to day business while Peter and Fridah will be responsible for handing out reading books, school supplies and games.  With that we needed to move those items from Bosco’s office to Peter’s office and Peter and Fridah spent the afternoon organizing.  Chuck also went in and quickly repainted the office.

sponsor-gifts-(25) sponsor-gifts-(26)Some of the kids received gifts from their sponsors (thank you Bobbie and Rod for bringing them along with you!).  They were happy sharing, exploring the contents of the packages and looking at photos.

Curtain saga….she brought the bathroom curtains and they are acceptable.  She asked if I wanted her to take others to straighten hems.  I told her no thanks, paid her and put the curtains out of my mind….until a group comes with a seamstress!

Kitchen saga….kitchen cabinets are being worked on as I write.  Most likely will NOT be done today and I’m not sure if they’ll work on Sunday but that may mean Bobbie will not be able to help me move into the kitchen before she leaves, bummer.

Bathroom cabinet saga….left partially finished since they worked on the kitchen all day today.

Bobbie helped clean up Bosco’s office, organized the craft bin and caught a mistake in the kitchen cabinets (thankful for that!), Rod was having some eye issues but he continued on scraping/moping/vacuuming floors, Chuck and Rod went to Tala this morning to get the monthly food supply, Bobbie and I organized new t-shirts (thank you to Bobbie’s students for raising the funds) and I seemed to be running around helping with various projects/situations.

Yet another busy day but thankful for the opportunity to do what we do for God’s glory.  Praying those around us see Jesus’ love and forgive me for my terrible shortcomings in being His example to others.

Thank you to all who have helped and supported this ministry in so many ways (Starbucks coffee for me, gifts for your sponsored child, mission home assistance, monthly or one-time support for whichever direction God leads you.  May you have a blessed weekend!
