Boy oh boy the internet here has been terrible the past few days. Turning off intermittently (even when we have electricity) and not allowing us access to the web…aarrgghh. But for this moment we are on-line and I’m hoping to get this posted before we lose it again. Chuck just said he’d check some banking stuff tomorrow and we both laughed, that’s a risky statement….waiting for tomorrow because we never know about electricity or internet.
But here’s a quick recap of the past few days:
We had a positive doctor’s report for one of our kids. He does have anemia but thankfully no sign of blood disease/leukemia. We are praising God for that news!
Working out issues with a couple of our secondary kids. Figuring out what they want to do with their immediate future (continue school, start trade school, etc.) Asking God for wisdom on dealing with that situation.
The mission home progress continues. Kitchen is done (pretty much but I can live with it), bathrooms are being finished by tomorrow (or so the carpenter says) then the workers should be out of the house….at least until funds are available for more work. We are still short of our goal to complete the interior and exterior. If you’d like more info on this project please visit our website.

That pretty much catches you up….oh and one of our secondary just came back home (she only went back to school yesterday) saying the school sent her home until the strike is called off :/ why did the school want her back yesterday then when they knew the strike was still ongoing!? These schools are going to be the death of me yet.
Anyway, thanks for checking in and being patient with our internet. Praying you all have a blessed weekend! Now I’m off to start a movie for the kids (that is if the tutors are not coming today).
