It’s less than 2 weeks before we leave for the US and satan is certainly working overtime here at the children’s home and in our personal life as well.  Frustrations seem to building on a daily basis, although we attempt to train and teach, eventually (less than 2 weeks) this will be left in the hands of the staff on the ground.  We continue to work through feelings of betrayal and mistrust of someone we felt was a friend and resolution of that situation is still up in the air.

On a less “important” level, I have not finished the video we’ll use while in the States, I can’t print off any photos for display because my color printer is out of ink and I can only get the ink from the US (it’s a printer we brought with us from the States 3 years ago), trying to get a pdf reader onto a computer is giving us much difficulty and other such daily happenings.

Then I receive a private message as I’m writing this post, here is part of it:

In the morning I noticed that X and Y have Bible study in the morning. What I really wanted to share with you is what is on their walls. These two young women are growing together in so many positive ways and its because you guys followed the call on your lives. I may not agree with you on some things but what I do know is that God is using you in some amazing ways in the lives of the kids you have.
Be encouraged.

I’ve taken out the child’s name but here’s a little background.  X is a child at C4KK and graduated class 8 with a low score which meant she was not “invited” to quality secondary schools.  We investigated some options and a friend (the one who sent me the message) told us about a school which may be just right for X and she offered a room at her mothers home (of course with her mother’s permission!) to stay and be a roommate to another girl (Y) who is also staying with her and going to the same secondary school.  X is currently in Form 2 and doing quite well, praise God!

What’s on their walls?  Several Bible verses for young women, Bible/school study schedule, school encouragement and this prayer:

prayer

Thank you Father for this timely encouragement and the guidance you are giving these young women, may You be glorified throughout their lives!
